Jeff and Dale Schwartz headed to Michigan on Friday July 13th to compete in the Motorstate Challenge in western Michigan. We arrived at Motorstate Distributing’s headquarters and warehouse for the cruise. The police shut down every intersection for the 90+ cars to participate on the street drive to Warren Sand Dunes for dinner.
Saturday racing at Gingerman Raceway was a lot of fun.
Jeff had his twin turbo LS2-powered Ultima GTR there, but blew a head gasket his 2nd session. Dale had his 1982 Pontiac Trans Am there, and placed well for his first roadrace in that car, and 2nd roadrace ever.
 
Jeff headed home with the Ultima and Dale ran his Trans Am in the autocross, placing in the middle of the pack, in his 2nd autocross with that car.
 
The Motorstate Challenge is a very fun and affordable event (if you don’t break!) and we urge anyone with a need for speed to attend!
