1967 Ford Custom 500

We found a mint-condition, 13,000 original mile 1967 Ford 500 for a customer after he saw how we spruced up the first one we did. He wanted that nostalgic look with many of the modern things we do to our full builds. In this case we pulled the original straight six motor and inserted new 5.0 liter Coyote power with custom manifolds and new stainless exhaust. Next we modified the trans tunnel slightly to fit a Tremec T56 six speed manual gearbox. With all that go we needed to be sure it would stop and handle too. On goes a set of Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes and KYB shocks on all four corners. The front end got all new steering components and a large sway bar, while out back we added a PMT sway bar, adjustable panhard bar, and adjustable 3 link tubular control arms. Inside, we added a Vintage Air AC system and new vents. All done it will have modern day handling with all the looks and appeal of the original car in a contemporary package.

  • Wheel Smith 15x9 rears wrapped in 275/60-15 Hercules H/P 4000 tires
